During a retrieval operation in Iceland, trainee aircrewman James Bond becomes the sole survivor after both helicopters are shot down. His defiant rescue of captured scientists draws the attention of MI6, and he is recruited into the revitalized 00 program. After months of training, Bond and his fellow recruits are ambushed by a rogue agent's assassins in Slovakia, and the attack leaves several of them dead or wounded.
